Another lesson in History unfolding

Kllling fileds : *Venusuala*

For those who  had not followed history and the evolution in  international political post WW2 , here is a repeat of the forces that controlled several nations progress.

*Venezuela's political history* is defined by periods of military rule and autocratic dictatorships, punctuated by a relatively stable and democratic era ( early 60's to eightees)  and more recently, a shift toward increasing authoritarianism/ dictatorship,  under Hugo Chávez and his successor, Nicolás Maduro.

Anti-government protests have flared up and hundreds of people have been arrested by the security forces, which remain loyal to  Maduro.

The US has intrests in oil and so are Europe and some other Latin American countries.  Plus, the US is entangled in the Drug business and crime.

They propped up  Mr  Guaido to seize control but the dictator stopped that. Then lawmaker María Corina  became popular among the opposition.

The US and others propped her up

She was banned by the dictator, from holding public office.

She has now thrown her weight behind one  González.

She was given the noble  peace price  in this month. ( Trump  wanted it but  agreed  as US wanted to prop her up) .She dedicated the price to Trump!

The US and Europe continues to fund the unrest and are trying to overthrow Madoro and ( like they did  in Syria, Iraq, Zelensky in Ukraine  etc) put Maria or someone as the head. So that they can control Latin American trade etc.

Either way Venusualans will suffer. No one allows or wants  them to dictate their own fate.

The history of the world after WW2 is repeated here too.

Now a pivot!

Here is a hypothetical case :.Trump and others dislike Modi  for several reasons. Domestically people ( Non bhakts)  are worried about Modis  dictatorial regime. Now,  if Modi increasingly stops democratic processes and ensures he or RSS control the nation, there will be a crises and people will find ways to prevent that. The US and others will assist such dissent( not because they like democracy but they want someone who they can control and use against China and Russia).

However,  India is different and  people , the huge middle class and above, only care for themself.  Democracy etc is not on their radar. Religion  probably is.  But that only fuels both sides.

So  the situation may not  become chaotic and bad. But still,  this is what happens when weak nations , divided by religion or economic barriers,  become vulnerable to exploitation. Bharat's history is replete with  this.

Or are we  too condemed to repeat  history?
